Reviewer Responsibilities

Reviewers should:

  • Maintain the confidentiality of all submitted manuscripts.
  • Assess the originality, scientific quality, and significance of the research.
  • Identify ethical concerns, plagiarism, or possible research misconduct.
  • Provide constructive comments to help authors improve their manuscripts.
  • Submit their review within the requested review period.
  • Declare any potential conflicts of interest before accepting a review invitation.

Evaluation Criteria

Reviewers are encouraged to evaluate manuscripts based on:

  • Originality and novelty
  • Scientific quality and methodology
  • Relevance to the journal's scope
  • Clarity and organization
  • Quality of figures, tables, and references
  • Validity of results and conclusions
  • Ethical compliance

Review Recommendations

At the end of the review, reviewers should recommend one of the following decisions:

  • Accept
  • Minor Revision
  • Major Revision
  • Reject

Confidentiality

All manuscripts and associated review materials must be treated as confidential documents and must not be shared or used for personal advantage.

Conflict of Interest

Reviewers should decline the review if they have any financial, professional, or personal conflict of interest that could influence their judgment.

Ethical Standards

JIBR follows the ethical principles and best practices of the Committee on Publication Ethics (COPE). Reviewers are expected to support these standards throughout the review process.

Reviewer Recognition

JIBR sincerely appreciates the valuable time and expertise contributed by its reviewers. Upon request, reviewers may receive an official certificate of review after completing the review process.
